Design details

Vertical, elongated brown shapes evoke an interwoven water wall, blending into a blurred green, abstract background.

The bright colours of the surroundings are highlighted in the reflective stainless steel, beautifully complementing the earthy tones of the rusty oxidised steel.

The illusion of a woven tapestry of materials and colours creates a stunning effect, emphasised by shimmering water running over the piece.

Product information

Our water walls can be set up in various ways depending upon whether a reservoir tank or basin is supplied with the piece. The water wall stands on a support in the reservoir tank or basin and water circulates with the use of a pump. Tanks can be supplied with the ability to connect to a water top up and contain a drain and overflow for safety and ease of maintenance. Softened water should be used to avoid any issue with limescale build up.

Generally, there are three ways our water walls can be installed and set up. This is dependent upon the overall look you would like to achieve, together with what the site actually allows for. Water walls should be positioned against a wall to give better stability overall.

1. Place the piece on a support and use a below ground reservoir tank, which requires an excavated smooth and level foundation pad.

2. Place the piece on a support and use a polished, clad, or painted above ground reservoir tank which requires a smooth and level foundation pad or terrace. These are typically used where large excavation is difficult.

3. Place the piece on a support above an existing pool or pond of clean and filtered water. The pump simply draws water from the pool or pond and recirculates it.

For options 1 and 2 above, provision for a conduit (to provide power the water pump, filter, and lights) and a water feed need to be made in the foundation.

Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.

At David Harber we can provide a variety of filtration and maintenance solutions depending on your own installation and budget. A detailed Maintenance Manual will be provided at installation and is also available on request. It is however essential that chlorinated water is not used with bronze water features. The levels of chlorine in domestic tap water are however fine.

When you think of a garden water feature, you probably envision a traditional tiered design like this, but a wall water feature offers a contemporary alternative that is both beautiful and space saving. In the same way a well-placed interior sculpture can make a living room, an outdoor garden fountain will transform a garden room, whether it’s a courtyard or an intimate space in a much larger garden design. A water wall can be a striking focal point or centrepiece for a garden, or it can provide a supporting role to other landscaping elements.

Durable stainless steel water features with their mirror-polished finish brings levity and light into gardens. The reflections within the vertical face of flowing water are unique, and offer an entirely different experience to traditional fountains. Bronze and Corten steel offer texture and warmth from the individual patinas which develop slowly over time.

Water walls are a contemporary alternative to traditional garden fountains and are excellent space savers. Mounted onto the wall, they leave room for beautiful planters and garden furniture allowing you to maintain the precious footprint of your garden space while still enjoying the benefits a water feature brings to outdoor living. Adding LED lights will help you maximise your enjoyment into the night, transforming your small space with drama and atmosphere.

Whether you need a focal point to centre a new small garden design, or a bubbler fountain for a balcony, water features suit outdoor spaces of all sizes.

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, the Flood Re: Contain the Rain Garden, designed by John Howlett, demonstrated how small gardens with a mix of water feature design ideas can create spaces that are tranquil and restorative, and attract pollinators too.

The sound of water flowing reduces traffic noise for city gardens, and in the summer when temperatures rise, create a cool, calm sanctuary to retreat to.

Choosing where to place a cascading water feature depends on your garden design and the desired functionality for the piece. First, walk around the garden. Is it crying out for a centrepiece or a focal point? Could you elevate an existing pond or a pool? Are there any unsightly boundaries that a beautiful water wall can mask?
