This autumn, enliven your home with Alba. Our new interior sculpture.

Ginkgo Water Wall

The Ginkgo Water Wall is a beautiful expression of an organic form. Water trickles behind a latticework of verdigris-bronze ginkgo leaves, each lined with 23¾ carat gold leaf. Designed as a focal feature in the indoor courtyard of a family home, this stunning water wall creates a soothing and inviting atmosphere.

Our brief was to design a luxury water feature that would embody a sense of nature and calm in the client’s indoor courtyard. Working with the client and their interior designer, Lara et Al, we chose the ginkgo leaf – a symbol of peace and hope – as our point of inspiration.

Ginkgo leaves provided a jumping-off point. Once this concept was agreed, a lot of creative dialogue took place within the team to transform the basic concept sketches into a finished design. We always love seeing pieces slowly materialise in the workshop.

A modern white kitchen with marble worktops opens to a bright room featuring a turquoise decorative wall, tropical plants, minimalist black chairs, and a ginkgo water wall in verdigris bronze—a contemporary abstract sculpture adding an elegant touch.

As with any bespoke design, the finished piece has to be unique to the client, and part of the David Harber experience is taking them on that creative journey. Although Ginkgo Water Wall has echoes of our Mantle sculpture, the shape and style of this design is unique to the family.
