Mimeo Cascade
Mimeo, Ekho and Mimeo Cascade draw on the contemplative nature of water features and geometric forms found in Islamic gardens. The ethereal water bowl of Mimeo is raised up on a plinth to create Mimeo Cascade, where the fountain’s water streams are expertly guided to form an ethereal web, continuing the Islamic appreciation for finely crafted water features.

Design details

Historically, clear running water has been a significant feature of Islamic gardens, holding sacred status. It permeates outdoor spaces with the soothing sound of trickling water, bringing a sense of peace.

Handcrafted from elegant copper and bronze with an aged verdigris finish, Mimeo Cascade creates a modern, gravity-defying mystique all of its own. We include free UK delivery, and all the water feature kit you need to install your piece perfectly.

Mimeo, a simpler version of Mimeo Cascade, makes a beautiful focal point on the surface of a pool of water. Here, its colours are the soft, warm, chestnut hues of antique bronze finish. Similar to Corten steel, the mellow tones develop a bespoke patina with age. Unlike Ekho, Mimeo doesn’t feature a gold leaf finish.
Mimeo Cascade is a fresh take on a water fountain. As water flows from the handcrafted bronze water bowl at night, it’s backlit by LED lighting to form a glistening curtain of light that complements the verdigris finish and decorative lattice fretwork around the rim.

Like a luxurious bird bath, this bowl-shaped water feature can be placed above an existing body of water, where it appears to float, creating a strong reflection on the surface. Alternatively, Mimeo Cascade has its own reservoir tank, therefore becoming a self-contained fountain water feature for a courtyard setting.

Product information
Mimeo and Ekho can be set up in various ways depending upon whether you require a reservoir tank or basin to be supplied with the piece. The piece stands on a support in the reservoir tank or basin and water circulates around via the use of a pump. Tanks can be supplied with the ability to connect to a water top up and contain a drain and overflow for safety and ease of maintenance. Softened water should be to avoid any issue with limescale build up.
Generally, there are primarily four ways Mimeo and Ekho can be installed and set up. This is dependent upon the overall look you would like to achieve, together with what the site actually allows for.
- Place the piece on a support and use a below ground reservoir tank, for which an excavated smooth and level foundation pad is required.
- Place the piece on a support and use a polished, clad, or painted above ground reservoir tank for which a smooth and level foundation pad or terrace is required. These are typically used where large excavation is difficult.
- Place the piece on a support above an existing pool or pond filled with clean and filtered water. The pump simply draws water from the pool or pond and recirculates it.
- Place the piece on a support above an existing body of unclean and unfiltered water. An external pump and filter is needed to draw dirty water from the pool or pond, clean it, and return it directly to the base of the feature.
For options 1 and 2 above, provision for a conduit (to provide power the pump, filter, and lights) and a water feed need to be made in the foundation.
Mimeo Cascade is supplied with an above ground or partially above ground reservoir tank that can be power coated or clad in bronze to match the feature. The reservoir tank or basin will need a smooth and level foundation to stand on, with provision made for a conduit to provide power to the pumps, filter, and lights. The piece stands on a support in the reservoir tank or basin and water circulates with the use of a pumps. Because of the intricacies of the piece and because covering or concealing mesh can’t be placed on top of the reservoir tank or basin, the piece needs to be hand filled (hose or bucket) with softened water and drained down with the use of a submersible pump or bucket.
Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.
