Hammanim

Neolithic and rugged, the Hammanim plays tricks with light to blend effortlessly into its surroundings by day, while waiting until dusk to reveal inner secrets through lighting.

Standing 3m tall, the unusual juxtaposition of the mirror-polished stainless steel with the oxidised steel creates a powerfully striking and abstract garden sculpture. At night, light is dramatically emitted from hundreds of slits cut into the metal.

The Hamanim is one of the Heaven and Earth series of sculptures by David Harber combining the elegance of mirror-polished stainless steel with the earthiness of oxidised steel.
