Teardrop Mantle

Teardrop Mantle is formed from hundreds of mirror-polished, stainless-steel petals, carefully assembled to resemble a giant droplet of water. Its reflective exterior is balanced by a painted interior, which can be customised to suit your space and style. The towering point is a striking feature, especially on a sunny day when it shines like a guiding star – a sophisticated focal point for any garden.

Design details

Teardrop Mantle’s dramatic pinnacle and curvaceous base make for a versatile outdoor design with year-round interest. In winter, the sculpture is integral to the garden’s structure, and the stainless-steel exterior reflects glittering frost. In the verdant seasons, the piece becomes a key focal point and introduces an artful contrast that invites playful discovery.

The interior of Teardrop Mantle can be painted with a colour of your choice to either suit the colour palette of your garden, or to create a striking statement.

Teardrop Mantle’s shape often inspires a placement near or over water. Here, it has been installed over a shallow pool and positioned within planting to curate an intimate, tranquil haven within a much larger design.

Product information

Teardrop Mantle is supplied with a baseplate. The client will need to provide a smooth and level stone or concrete pad positioned just below ground level to attach this plate to. Stainless steel bolts are then resin fixed into holes and drilled into the stone or concrete pad, to provide a secure fixing. It is possible to supply Teardrop Mantle with an LED light for which an electrical supply will need to emerge up through the centre of the concrete pad. We supply the driver for the LED lighting.

Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.

We would recommend that the exterior of Teardrop Mantle be cleaned, when necessary, with warm water and a very soft cloth and then rinsed with warm clean water. Once dry, it can be polished with glass cleaner and a soft lint free cloth. Use of any abrasive cleaner will damage the finish and must be avoided. The internal painted surface can be gently washed with a garden hose as required.
