RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026

David Harber is delighted to be returning once again to the most famous horticultural show in the world, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with a stand designed by award-winning US-based landscape architects, Hollander Design. For the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025, the stand’s garden design was inspired by classical architectural principals but this year, our sculptures will be placed in a working garden setting – a space often overlooked when thinking of art and ornament.

‘By placing David Harber’s sculpture within a productive, heritage garden, we reconnect art with the traditions of making and growing that once shaped everyday life,’ said Edmund Hollander, Founding Partner of Hollander Design. ‘The garden becomes a living counterpart to the sculpture. Both are rooted in patience, skill, and a deep respect for the materials and process of craft.’

Hollander Design drew inspiration for this year’s stand from the traditional skills and techniques applied at our Oxfordshire workshop – skills that are increasingly rare in our fast-paced world. The working garden setting will feature woven willow hedging and planters, as well as heirloom vegetables, heritage fruit trees and native plant species – all made or grown in Britain – once commonly cultivated for food, medicine and textiles.

Inspired by the art of weaving, our new sculpture Nexa will launch at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May

‘The garden will showcase traditional skills – such as vegetable gardening, seed saving, arboriculture practice of pleaching and willow weaving – that were once commonplace and are now at risk of being forgotten. These practices are not only valuable for their cultural and ecological importance, but they also speak to a slower, more intentional way of life that aligns beautifully with the ethos being David Harber’s pieces.’

A new sculpture will be launched at this year’s show: Nexa. The large statement piece explores the tactile language of sculpture and David Harber’s artisanal approach. Drawing from the art of weaving and the formation of nests, intricately interlaced verdigris bronze rods create a woven framework for shimmering fragments of copper mesh that catch the light like spider webs bejewelled with morning dew. Held within the structure is a small opening ⎯ a window to the rhythms of everyday garden life.

In addition, the garden will display a selection of David Harber’s most iconic pieces: Torus, Dark Planet, Flo, Sky Mirror Chalice, Armillary Sphere, Geminus, Hydra, Alba, and Terra.

Visitors to the stand will hopefully be inspired to see the potential of their own gardens as not only places of productivity but also of reflection, creativity and beauty.

Designed to function as a space to inspire and entertain, David Harber is thrilled to be working with ABC Stone, Sacco Carpets, Gaze Burvill, IN-LITE lighting and Whichford Pottery who will be enhancing the garden with their own specialist crafts.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show takes place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, just off Royal Hospital Road in London from Monday 18 May to Saturday 23 May 2026. Open to RHS members and non-members, you can visit the David Harber stand at MA 338, just off the showground’s Main Avenue. You can by show tickets here. If you would like to arrange to discuss a piece or upcoming project at the show, please email enquiries@davidharber.com.

What to expect if it’s your first time visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower show?

The pinnacle of the horticultural calendar, the Royal Horticultural Society’s annual Chelsea Flower Show has become one of the biggest garden events in the world. Hoping to win a coveted Gold Medal, leading garden designers from across the globe create incredible show gardens to illustrate some of the most cutting-edge garden design styles, sustainability practices and horticultural technology, as well as providing inspirational solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing gardeners and landscape designers today.

The highlight for many visitors though, is the Great Pavilion. A giant marquee filled with striking floral arrangements and exciting new cultivars from international plant growers. Garden enthusiasts will also find a range of exhibitors selling garden clothing and tools, as well as beautiful crafts and artwork. Fuel your day at the show with a traditional afternoon tea or elegant dining experience – a selection of the UK’s top chefs has eateries on-site. And every year, on the final Saturday, the show has a grand plant sell-off and it’s a fabulous opportunity to buy quality plants at a discount.
