Design details
The central void represents the still eye of a hurricane’s energy, whilst the blades infer the drama of swirling waves. This at once brings energy and dynamism to a garden.
The edge of each blade of the metal sculpture is mirror-polished, intentionally designed to catch and reflect the sun’s rays
“A sculpture that conveys a sense of precarious balance and lightness, with the gently opening blades inferring movement.”
David Harber
Every stage of its creation involves painstakingly detailed work. Here, the finishing team are taping all the mirror–polished stainless–steel surfaces prior to being powder–coated.
With its striking nature, Orbis can perform as a focal point in any space.
Product information
A suitable flat base of concrete will be required, and this must be organised by the client in advance of installation.
It is possible to incorporate LED lighting which provides a stunning lighting effect at night. If this is something you’d like to add, a power feed to the site will be required and connection of the feature to the mains power supply must be undertaken by a qualified electrician
Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and for overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.
We would recommend that the Filium be cleaned at least once a year with only warm water and a soft cloth to remove any detritus. Use of any abrasive cleaner will damage the finish and must be avoided. Maintenance instructions will be issued on installation.
