Quill is a tall garden sculpture available in the following heights: 180cm, 200cm, 240cm. Other sizes are available on request. It comes in three different metals:
Oxidized (above): Made of a delicate lattice of rust-coloured oxidized steel petals, the Oxidized Quill has an internal LED that creates a lantern-like effect by night.
- Stainless Steel: Made of elongated brushed stainless steel petals interspersed with some that are mirror-polished, the stainless steel Quill has an internal LED that creates a lantern-like effect by night.
- Bronze: Made of a delicate lattice of verdigris bronze petals internally gilded with 23¾-carat gold leaf, the Quill has an internal LED that creates a lantern-like effect by night.
Prices for the mild steel Quill start at £7,453; they start at £23,599 for the stainless steel Quill; and at £19,088 for the bronze and gold leaf Quill. All prices include VAT, and delivery and installation to mainland UK.
The Quill can be made from bronze petals, to which we apply a Verdigris patina to the external surfaces and a 23 ¾ carat gold leaf to the internal ones, 316 marine grade mirror polished stainless steel with a painted interior, and finally from mild steel. The stainless-steel variant uses lenticular petals.
The Quill can incorporate a few words etched or engraved on a discreetly located petal.

We ask that a concrete pad is set in the ground where the piece is destined, dimensions will be provided, to which the Quill is bolted into place using an epoxy resin. Should an internal LED uplighter be required in the base of the piece an electricity supply will be needed, and we ask that a conduit with draw cord emerges out of the centre of this concrete pad. We supply the driver for the LED.
Installation and delivery are included in the price for UK commissions, and for overseas shipping quotes can be obtained and charged at cost.
The finishes used on the Quill will exhibit some natural weathering with age, however, periodic cleaning will help preserve its beauty. We would recommend that it be cleaned at least once a year with only warm water and a soft cloth to remove any detritus. Use of any abrasive cleaner will damage the finish and must be avoided. Maintenance instructions will be issued on installation.
