The historic city centre of St.Albans, with its iconic bell tower, was being transformed by an inspiring development and they commissioned David Harber to design and create a piece to engage and enliven the public.

Modern building complex with a torus contemporary sculpture at Gabriel Square, courtyard aglow under a cloudy dusk sky.

A sculpture was needed that could reference the bell, was accessible to the public, and sympathetic to the new development.

A circular mirror, inspired by Gabriel Square at St. Albans in England, features a geometric grid and wavy metallic bands, creating a dynamic wall sculpture that ripples across the beige surface while reflecting an abstract building view.

We designed a highly-visible dynamic wall sculpture of mirror-polished sound waves reverberating from a circular labyrinth etched with name, Gabriel Square.
